This section is for information that may be relevant to your vehicle or maybe even an issue you have with your vehicle, as you can imagine over the course of 28 years & experience with several brands I have knowledge of common faults which I can share with you. This page will grow as I add more content to it with also the more I discover.
This issue is related to a connection with two of the clutch hydraulic pipes to each other, the seal is not 100% allowing air to be drawn into the system the cure is to replace both hydraulic pipes follwed by bleeding the clutch hydraulic system.
If you find that when you operate your washer jet's all you get is the pump making a noise but no water coming out this is a common problem on all BMW/Mini model's but it is also a simple one to fix, essentially it relates to a filter that the washer pump sits in getting clogged up with contaminants. Removing the washer pump to allow the filter to be cleaned & then a flush out of the reservoir will rectify this issue.
This issue is related to fractured solder joints on the Instrument cluster circuit board, which leads to varied faults:-
The rectification of this fault is either replace the Instrument cluster with a brand new unit or removal of the old unit to be sent away to ACTronics for them to remanufacture the old unit with brand new solder joints.
